A Penny saved is Penny earned (Class XII)
Today’s child has become increasingly exposed to “must have” products marketed through television commercials and on the Internet. It is never too early to start educating him or her on how to responsibly save and spend their money. The aim of the project is to make the students understand the basics of money management, to explain the difference between needs and wants and the art of budgeting. This will enable them to become responsible global citizens and help in creating a more stable global economy.

The students of Class XII were shown Powerpoint presentation on UN Sustainable Development Goals – Quality Education(Goal No 8) Responsible Consumption & Production(Goal No. 12) .

A talk was organised on the topic ” Saving Options and Taxation” in the school premises for the students of Class XII. Students learnt about the sources of Income, Taxation and Saving options during the session.
Debate
Under the ISA project for class 12th,a debate on topic “Needs Vs Wants” was conducted in the school. Students presented their views with full enthusiasm. After the debate a group discussion was also conducted as more and more views came up from more and more students. Overall, it was a fruitful activity and students learnt a lot.

Students of class 12th presented presentations on budget of various events such as wedding, birthday parties, etc under the British Council activity “Penny saved, Penny earned”. They also presented presentations on procurement and repayment of education loan.
WORKSHOP ON EDUCATION LOAN
A workshop was conducted for the students of Class XII to educate them about the procurement process of Education Loan and repayment of the same.
