Might of the Pen (Classes IX – X)
Martin Luther King said “If you want to change the world pick up your pen and write.” From personal story to painful historical truths, the politics of who and what we write about, and how we write about it, can breed timeless literary works and be a powerful driver of social change. The aim of this project is to explore the timeless works and words from India and countries under study which have had a significant impact on our lives in the 21 st Century. In today’s world a number of global issues have arisen which require the collective effort of all its citizens to bring about the required changes globally. Picking up the pen to stand for these issues is the need of the hour.

LEARNING ABOUT THE CULTURE OF BANGLADESH AND MYANMAR THROUGH POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS
A powerpoint presentation depicting the various cultures of Bangladesh and Myanmar was shown to the students of classes IX & X on August 22, 2019. through this ISA Activity students came to recognize the cultural values, practices, Literary work and heritage of the partner countries.
Learning about Software Development Goals through Power Point Presentations
PowerPoint Presentations on Sustainable Development Goals Gender Equality (Goal No. 5), Reduced Inequalities (Goal No 10), Peace, and Justice &Strong Institutions (Goal No. 16) were shown to the students.

Sustainable development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. related to it, the student of classes IX and X decorated their respective softboard highlighting the three goals –
goal 5: Gender Equality
Goal 10: reduce Inequality
Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institution
ISA activity gave opportunity to the students to explore and find out various information related to the topic – Making Invitation Cards, gathering information for softboard was also the part of this activity.
SBKIT on UN SUSTAINALE GOALS
As a part of ISA activity ‘a play named azadi was enacted by the students of classes IX and X depicting Sustainable Development Goals on October 1st 2019. This activity spreads the message of equality.
The students of classes IX and X participated in a news Debate competition on October 5,2019 under ISA activity . The aim of the activity was to learn public speaking skills of the students and teach them to articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinion.
Under ISA project “The Might of the Pen” a role play was conducted for the students of classes IX- X where the students disguise themself as poets and authors from India, Bangladesh, Myanmar. This helped the students to explore the different view point and the way of thinking about a situation to expand their ability and provide experience within a given context.
FINALE : KAVI DARBAR AND MEET THE AUTHOR
The students of classes IX- X presented their ISA grand finale episode with gusto where Kavi Darbar was organized. The students dressed up as the famous poets , authors from India and partner countries and recited poem based on the UN Sustainable Goals, Gender Equality(Goal No 5), Reduce Inequality (Goal No 10)and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (Goal No 10). This session was followed by British Council ISA Activity“Meet the Author”, where the students got an opportunity to meet and interact Ms Shobhna Shyam Mittal, a famous author of short stories and poems. She shared her journey of becoming an author with the students and also discussed with them, her inspirations to write. She motivated the students to write original poems, stories .This activity was followed by Creative Writing Session.
